The popular cooking game is back with Toca Kitchen 2. This simulation game from Toca Boca will once again let your imagination run wild in the kitchen. Free to play, it allows players to cook anything and make crazy food combinations to please their customers.

Toca Kitchen 2 plays similarly to its predecessor Toca Kitchen Sushi Restaurant. Although, this time, there will be new guests to cook for, more kitchen tools to play with, and more food combinations to test out. Like the first Toca Kitchen, however, the game suffers from repetitive gameplay, making it boring over time.

Play with your food

The gameplay of Toca Kitchen 2 is easy to master. Even better, it is impossible to lose. Similar to the first Toca kitchen, you will start by choosing a character to feed. Then, you can choose your ingredients from the fridge. There are more than 20 products in the refrigerator to choose from, including chicken, sausage, vegetables, and seafood. With this, you can cook anything you can imagine.

More than ingredients, you also have six different tools that you can use: juicer, chopping board, pot, frying pan, deep fryer, and an oven. You can also use a wide array of condiments. Once done, three expressive and diverse characters will gulp down your creation. Like real people, your customers will have different preferences. Moreover, they will show a bigger reaction to the crazy combinations that you make.

As with its predecessor, Toca Kitchen 2 shines as a platform for no rules, no right or wrong, and open-ended play. However, navigation will prove to be difficult as there are various screens involved. Additionally, there is no variety in the gameplay that the novelty wears off immediately. The options are a bit boring that you end up making the same food over and over. 

Is the game good?

Overall. Toca Kitchen 2 is a fun and safe way to introduce the younger players to cooking. The game allows you to cook anything using a wide array of ingredients and tools. Unlike other restaurant games, there are no strict rules here, allowing you to take time creating a sumptuous recipe. However, over time, the lack of gameplay variety can make the game boring.
