FLV Extract

Extract video, audio and timecodes from your FLV videos

FLV Extract is a free, simple app that allows you to extract audio and video from .FLV (flash video) files.

FLV Extract certainly isn’t fancy, but if you need to do one specific task – namely extract audio, video and timestamps from media in .FLV format, it is the perfect app for you. Simply open it up, select which of the three elements you want to extract and drag the .FLV file in question onto the app. FLV Extract will process your request and save the new files to the same location as the original.

As far as options go, picking audio, video or timestamps is the most you are going to get with FLV Extract – there is literally nothing else. There is, however, a command line option, and you’ll be pleased to know that the app doesn’t decompress or recompress the files in any way.

FLV Extract saves audio as MP3, AAC, Speex, or WAV (PCM) and video as AVI or raw elementary stream. Bear in mind that you’ll need the appropriate apps to view these files.

FLV Extract is very, very basic, but if you want the components of your .FLV files, it’s just perfect.
